The neighborhood of Woods of Langford is in the CDP, or census-designated place, Broomall. It helps make up Marple Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Neighboring communities include Lawrence Park, Brookthorpe Hills, and Pilgrim Gardens.
History
Quakers first settled into the greater area by 1683. They traveled along the Delaware River in the Endeavor. One of the passengers was Thomas Massey, an indentured servant from Cheshire, England. He, along with seven other servants, came to America. He worked off his remaining indenture and was given 50 acres of land in addition to 50 acres from William Penn. Eventually, he would come to own a 300-acre plantation. The house, known as the Thomas Massey House, was built in 1696 and still stands today. It can be found at Lawrence and Springhouse Roads. It is open for seasonal tours and is fully decorated with authentic items from the 17th and 18th centuries. Some of the items original to the home include:

The schools within the zones for the neighborhood are part of the Marple Newtown School District. The district had over 301 teachers in 2011 throughout its six schools. Most students in the area attend the following public schools:
